Mario Sarda is a thespian of many talents who leaves a permanent mark on French theatre in our area. His interest in the performing arts developed at an early age while at the Cégep and he began acting with Les Romanchinels, a semi-professional troupe in Quebec. For over thirty years he has been part of the local scene entertaining audiences as director, actor, technician and writer. In 1988, he co-founded Les Gens d’ici, a theatre troupe for Cornwall- Alexandria and produced dozens of plays such as Le Bourgeois Gentleman. Mario continues writing, directing and performing with Théâtre L’Amalgame. To his credit, there is an audience where francophone performers have found a space to thrive.
Mario Sarda est un comédien aux multiples talents qui laisse une empreinte permanente sur le théâtre francophone de notre région. Son intérêt pour les arts de la scène s’est développé très tôt au Cégep et il a commencé à jouer avec Les Romanchinels, une troupe semi-professionnelle du Québec. Depuis plus de trente ans, il fait partie de la scène locale et divertit le public en tant que metteur en scène, acteur, technicien et auteur. En 1988, il a cofondé Les Gens d’ici, une troupe de théâtre pour Cornwall-Alexandria et a produit des dizaines de pièces comme Le Bourgeois Gentilhomme. Mario continue d’écrire, de mettre en scène et de jouer avec le Théâtre L’Amalgame. Grâce à lui, il existe un lieu où les interprètes francophones ont trouvé un espace pour s’épanouir.
